Friday 17th October:
Thursday 16th October, both ships were ready to leave at 10 am, but verifications still needed to be done by the marine authorities. While the Airaha 2 got the authorization to leave in the morning coupled with an obligation to weigh anchor before 4 pm, the dhow was not allowed to leave the port before 10 pm.
The Airaha 2 left the port at 3 pm and dropped anchor a few hundred meters away from its departure point. The dhow joined it in the evening. After the cargo was transferred from the dhow to the Airaha, both ships, at long last, were able to sail away at night…
